The city reported three more imported novel coronavirus cases on Saturday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Sunday morning.

The first patient is a Taiwan resident who arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport on August 27.

The second and third patient are Russian who departed from Russia on August 27 and arrived at the Shanghai airport on August 28.

The new patients have been transferred to a designated hospital for treatment, while 128 close contacts on the planes have been put under quarantine and observation at designated places.

Meanwhile, three patients from the Philippines were discharged from hospital upon recovery on Saturday.

So far, of all the 555 imported cases, 494 have been discharged upon recovery and 61 are still hospitalized.

No imported suspected cases are undergoing test.

No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Saturday, according to the commission.

Of all the 342 local cases, 335 have been discharged upon recovery. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
