Tianjin tourism pass a great way to experience city

Cultural and tourism authorities from north China's Tianjin have released a city tour pass covering some 100 tourism businesses in cooperation with Shanghai-based online travel operator Trip.com prior to the upcoming eight-day National Day holiday.
The pass covers 23 representative tourist attractions in the city, as well as hotels, restaurants, and vehicle rental services, providing a one-stop service for travelers, Tianjin officials announced in Shanghai.
The pass provides five options ranging in different lengths of trips and targeting different kinds of tourism. Entries to famous attractions of Tianjin such as the Five Avenues, Tianjin Radio and Television Tower and the former residence of Kuomintang General Zhang Xueliang (1901-2001) are included in the pass.
The cultural and tourism industry was badly hit by the COVID-19 epidemic, and authorities in the city are actively taking measures to resume the vitality of the cultural and tourism market, said Yao Jianjun, Party secretary and director of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, in Shanghai.
The pass, an upgraded version of a former one, features a wider range of tourism items and deeper discounts, which will boost cultural and tourism consumption and help businesses minimize the impact of the epidemic, he said.
Shanghai and Tianjin have a close cooperation relationship, and Tianjin is a popular destination among Shanghai tourists, said Hang Chunfang, deputy director of the Shanghai Administration of Culture and Tourism.
The launch of the pass will provide more discounts and convenience for tourists to Tianjin, and it is expected that the two cities will further their exchange in cultural and tourism fields, said Hang.
The pass enables tourists to have an in-depth tour of Tianjin, highlighting parent-children tours, cultural destinations, and natural landscapes of Tianjin, Trip.com said.
