China's government recently added to its clampdown on certain aspects of the country's celebrity culture industry, this time releasing new regulations to limit teen idol worship. This follows some extremely high profile cases where some of China's top A-List stars have faced massive fines and jail.

How has Western media reported on these new developments? And is China right to come down so hard on the country's celebrity industry?
