The carnival serves as the last stop of the 2018 Skoda Heros China Cycling Series.

The 2018 Skoda Heros China Cycling Series Carnival was held at Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading District on October 1 and 2.

The last stop of the 2018 cycling series, the carnival expanded its scale and became a two-day gathering from last year’s one-day event, attracting near 30,000 participants.

On the first day, 2,000 cyclists from 27 countries and regions competed in six categories of competitions — Elite Group, U25, U35, Masters, Student Men’s Race and Women’s Race — along the 5.4-kilometer route at the circuit. One-lap trial and team relay competitions were held on the second day.

Push-bike race for children was introduced at Shanghai International Circuit for the first time, attracting over 300 participants.

Jointly organized by Shanghai Sports Bureau and Shanghai Sports Federation, the event is also part of the 2018 Shanghai Amateur Games.
