The heartwarming documentary series “72 Hours ─ China” will make its debut on Tencent’s v.qq.com on June 14.

The 13-episode series is produced by the team of renowned Chinese documentary filmmaker Chen Xiaoqing, whose credits include popular food documentary “A Bite of China” and nature documentary “Forest China.”

NHK’s acclaimed Japanese documentary series “72 Hours” is the basis for the Chinese version, which interviews ordinary Chinese people about their lives and emotions at 13 locations across the country.

Each episode is shot over 72 hours to record the human stories around the locations. Among the venues are a small restaurant in Changsha, Hunan Province, and a post office in Beijing.

Following the series, another new food documentary series co-produced by Chen and Tencent Penguin Pictures will also be presented for food lovers.
