“Lost In 1949,” a new period drama set in Shanghai, will start airing on Dragon TV on June 11.

Starring Chen Kun and Wan Qian, the TV drama centers on the adventures and growth of three young people in wartime Shanghai during the late 1940s.

Actor Chen portrays twin brothers of different personalities in the series. It has been nine years since Chen starred in a TV drama.

According to producer and scriptwriter Wang Qinan, the TV series explores the emotions of ordinary people in a turbulent era.

“It is a touching story about the responsibility and patriotism of young people at that time,” Wang said. “How they lived their faith will also inspire today’s young people.”
