Reconstruction of the Dongjiadu Road ramp at Nanpu Bridge is drawing to an end, and the ramp will be open to traffic from 8pm next Monday, Shanghai Road Administration Bureau said on Friday.
This means that work on the ramp will be finished three days ahead of schedule.
The project, which started on July 2, involved the removal of eight piers from the ramp and the lowering of the remaining six so that the entrance to the ramp could be moved about 170 meters to the south.
Pavement construction, putting up of traffic signs and the installation of surveillance cameras and lighting have been completed, the bureau said.
