Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong met Dave Cote, chairman of Honeywell International Inc., on August 29.

Ying said Shanghai is pushing forward the construction of an international economic, financial, trade, and shipping center. It’s also aiming to build an international technology and innovation center, and it will support foreign research institutions and companies like Honeywell to flourish. Shanghai is open to suggestions from the foreign enterprises and will create a better environment for their businesses.

Cote said Honeywell gives top priority to the Chinese market. Honeywell made a wise decision to locate its Asia-Pacific headquarter in Shanghai 15 years ago. Shanghai will become an important innovation center for Honeywell, and it will give strong support to Shanghai’s aviation industry and help Shanghai to build a smart city.

Honeywell International Inc., one of the top Fortune 500 enterprises, is an American multinational conglomerate company engaged in aviation and vehicle industry, real estate and industrial control technology.
