New animal research center to offer experimental service for pharmaceutical companies in Jinshan

Shanghai Lab Animal Research Center established a new branch center in Jinshan District on Wednesday, aiming to provide pharmaceutical companies with a professional experimental service platform that meets the standard of GLP (good laboratory practice).

The center will focus on the experimental researches of large-size animals such as pigs, monkeys or dogs.

According to its plan, the center will be dedicated to developing and preserving animal resources as well as cultivating more professionals in the research field.

The pharmaceutical industry is one of the major industries Jinshan is developing in recent years. With the center settled in the district, Jinshan hopes to be able to strengthen the interaction with other districts and make it the main manufacturing center of biopharmaceutical products in Shanghai.
