Police have banned a wide range of objects from the upcoming China International Import Expo.

Guns, explosives, daggers, fireworks, gasoline and alcohol are among the most obvious to be blacklisted.

The ban also applies to all kinds of drinks, drones, animals that are not guide dogs for the blind, objects that could cause injury including sticks, bats and umbrellas, as well as balls, rackets, frisbees, lighters and matches.

In addition, syringes, liquid medicine and kites are prohibited.

All kinds of transportation tools, such as bikes, scooters, skateboards and roller skates, won’t be allowed in the site, except baby strollers and wheelchairs.

Luggage boxes “too large and not suitable to be taken into the site,” flags larger than 2 meters by 1 meter in size and flag poles taller than 1 meter are ruled out.

The expo will also ban banners, placards, billboards and other publicity material with political, ethnic, religious and commercial messages which contravene Chinese law.

The ban applied to all people and vehicles that enter the National Exhibition and Convention Center, during the expo which will be held from November 5 to 10.

Vehicles can have fire extinguishers, lifting jacks, hammers and screwdrivers if permission has been granted, police said.
