An interactive center opened on the Bund in Huangpu District at the weekend aimed at helping city residents examine their relations with others and tackle their concerns.

The center, which is free to the public, has areas devoted to topics that include family, the job market and social intercourse. Visitors are able to have their interpersonal relationships examined through interactive experiences such as accomplishing different tasks and challenges.

The center replicates different scenes of interpersonal relationships and common concerns.

The center, on Dianchi Road, was designed by co-working space operator MyDreamPlus, Laidian Technology and psychological consultant Xiong Taihang, who has published a book on relationships. Similar centers will open in other Chinese cities, including Beijing, in January.

Xiong said youngsters in China are confronted by difficulties in managing relationships because their parents had a different ideology due to their different backgrounds and there was no relevant education in school.
