Governments cooperate on higher quality

Jiading District and the Wenzhou government in neighboring Zhejiang Province held a strategic cooperation conference for higher-quality development in Jiading on November 15.

They announced 10 working measures and signed agreements on 12 projects, covering scientific innovation, advanced manufacturing, private enterprise development and automobile industries.

The strategic cooperation between Wenzhou and Jiading is a concrete step for deepening the national strategy of integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, Chen Weijun, Wenzhou’s Party Secretary, said.

Jiading will plan, push forward and carry out the strategic cooperation, and make the blueprint a reality, said Zhang Xi, Jading’ Party secretary.

Both sides agreed to set up a scientific innovation park in Jiading for enterprises from Wenzhou to set up research and development facilities in the key areas of automobiles, intelligent manufacturing and electronic information industries.

A branch of the Jiading Industrial Zone will be set up in Wenzhou as a demonstration zone for the integrated development of advanced manufacturing industry for both sides.

Both sides also expressed their support in setting up a development fund for the private economy to attract more investment into private enterprises, as Wenzhou is characterized by the private economy while Jiading is famed for attracting foreign investment.

The two sides plan to strengthen cooperation in the field of intelligent medicare, culture, leisure and vocational training.

In July the two sides began strategic cooperation. So far, cooperation in industry, scientific innovation, people’s livelihoods, tourism and Party construction is in full swing.
