Two intrepid travellers are geared up for their trip into Fuyang's exquisite spring landscape.

On Friday, a high-speed railway train connecting Shanghai and Fuyang in neighboring Zhejiang Province was named "Fuyang, Fuchun Resort" and departed festooned with emblematic Fuyang motifs.

To attract tourists this spring, the best time of the year to drink in the beautiful landscape, the local tourism authority has hosted many Fuyang-flavored events in Shanghai.

The train G7317 has made 10 stops including Fuyang itself, Qiandao Lake and the Yellow Mountains where the train terminates. It left Shanghai Railway Station at 8:05am on Friday.

The new 265-kilometer high-speed line connecting Hangzhou and the Yellow Mountains provides fast access to many areas of natural beauty in the Yangtze River Delta region. It strings together seven 5A  attractions, including the West Lake and Xixi Wetland.

Fuyang is famous for “Fuchun Shan Ju Tu” (Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains) by Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) painter Huang Gongwang, often cited as the epitome of traditional landscape painting.

Peach and cherry blossoms and azalea are in full bloom in Fuyang, and several flower trails have been opened. Fuyang is also home to such attractions as Fuchun Taoyuan (Land of Peach Blossoms), Longmen Ancient Town and Huang Gongwang Village.
