An engineering robot was showcased in the Pudong New Area on Thursday.
It is the first robot model in Shanghai capable of performing electric power overhaul without causing power outages.
The robot, equipped with two mechanical arms and three cameras, will be put into use in June this year by State Grid Shanghai Company.
Liu Yihan from State Grid said the robot can keep on working for eight hours straight.
