City passengers can use their Metro app to board trains in Hefei, the fifth city to join the reciprocal payment scheme on the Metro.

People from Hefei in Anhui Province can use the Hefei Metro app to board the Metro in Shanghai from Friday and Shanghai passengers will be able to use the Metro Daduhui app to travel on the Hefei Metro.
Hefei is the fifth city in the Yangtze River Delta region to share Metro payments with Shanghai. Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province joined earlier in the week.
Shanghai Metro operators said more than 14 million people are now using Metro Daduhui to board trains and get information.
