2nd CIIE recruiting volunteers

The second China International Import Expo wants you. It will take applications from volunteers from Monday.

There were more than 5,000 volunteers at last year's inaugural expo.

The Shanghai Youth League, in charge of recruiting volunteers, said on Friday that the first volunteers to be recruited from April 22 to May 20 will work with the government and organizer in preparation for the expo.

The batch will be about 50, and they will be mainly recruited from graduates and workers from state-owned companies.

But those other with special skills are also wanted. The work is from June to December, according to the Shanghai Youth League.

The rest of the volunteers will be later recruited among college and university students.

The organization said on Friday that it will also enhance cooperation with its counterparts in the Yangtze River Delta provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui to improve volunteer services of the entire region, including for the CIIE.
