A security check staffer at Shanghai Metro has been suspended from duty after a fight with a passenger, Shanghai police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place at Zhaojiabang Road Metro station at around 4:47pm on June 28.
Li, 55, the passenger, was carrying a shoulder bag when going through the security check, but did not put his bag through the scanner.
The security guard stopped him and asked to check his bag, which was when the trouble started, culminating in a physical fight, police said.
