Movies will be screened at city parks and greenery areas through late September, the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau announced on Thursday.
About 200 films including Chinese sci-fi blockbuster "The Wandering Earth" and survival drama film "The 33" will be screened.
These films will be screened every week at venues such as Jing'an Park and Xiangyang Park and greenery spaces across the 16 districts, according to the bureau.
Garbage-sorting knowledge will also be part of the screening, the bureau said.
