The Sino-US relation is one of the most important bilateral relations in the world, and mutually beneficial cooperation is the best choice for both sides. Shanghai and Indiana have long-term good cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, education, science and technology. I hope that through the visit of the governor, we will further deepen understanding, form a consensus, and promote the friendly cooperation and exchanges between the two sides up to a new level, Li said.

This November the 2nd China International Import Expo will be held in Shanghai, which is a major initiative for China to open its market to the world. Indiana companies are welcome to show quality products and services on this open platform, and to carry out more cooperation with Shanghai companies, Li added.

Holcomb congratulated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. He said that China’s achievements have attracted worldwide attention. As the largest economic center city in China, Shanghai is full of vitality and prosperity. We are willing to further deepen the cooperation and exchanges between Indiana and Shanghai in various fields and work together to achieve win-win development in the future.
