Xuhui riverside and an area in the western part of Putuo District will be affected when runners take part in two separate races.

Some roads will be closed on Sunday morning for two running events, police said on Wednesday.

In Xuhui District, Longteng Avenue and the Xuhui riverside will be partially closed from 6am to 11am.

The affected area is bordered by Longteng Avenue, Ruining Road, Longhua Road M., Dong'an Road, Wanping Road S., Yunjin Road and Xumei Road.

The streets with no fences in the middle or for non-motor vehicles shall ban all vehicles, while those with fenced lanes will allow traffic where the race is not affected.

The exit and entrance of the Longyao Tunnel on Yunjin Road will be closed as will the entrance of the four-lane Dapu Road Tunnel.

From midnight to 8:30am in Putuo District on Sunday, Guangfu Road W. between Daduhe Road and Danba Road and Danba Road between Guangfu Road W. and Tongpu Road will be partially shut.

From 7am to 9:30am, parts of Daduhe Road, Yunling Road E., Zhenbei Road, Tongpu Road, Danba Road, Zhongjiang Road and Zaoyang Road will also be partially closed to both motorists and cyclists, while other streets will be closed when runners pass.

Some bus lines in the above areas will have their routes adjusted.

The race in Xuhui District is the Shanghai International Enterprises Half Marathon, while the race in Putuo District is the Shanghai International Elite 10K Race.
