One yuan admission to Suzhou garden is just the ticket

Suzhou's gardening and greenery authorities announced ticketing incentives and promoted the city's garden attractions in Shanghai on Friday.
The aim is to fuel the high-quality development of cultural and tourism integration in the Yangtze River Delta region and boost the recovery of the tourism industry.
A total of 500,000 tickets priced at 1 yuan (14 US cents) each to 14 garden attractions in Suzhou, neighboring Jiangsu Province, are being offered on five platforms such as the official tourism website of Suzhou at http://wap.visitsz.com/ and Trip.com through to the end of this year, the Suzhou City Garden and Greenery Management Bureau announced.
The ticketing scheme covers famed Suzhou garden attractions such as the Tiger Hill scenic area, Humble Administrator’s Garden, Lingering Garden, Lion Forest Garden, Ou Garden and Canglang Pavilion.
String and wind performers
At the Yuyuan Garden in Huangpu District, a painting gallery displaying the landscapes of Suzhou gardens, as well as a Jiangnan sizhu (string and wind music) performance were staged to promote the city's splendor and traditional Chinese culture to Shanghai tourists.
The event aims to enhance the cultural and tourism exchange and cooperation of Suzhou and Shanghai, and enable Shanghai tourists to experience the art of classic Chinese gardens, the bureau said.
Suzhou is famous for its classical gardens. The Humble Administrator’s Garden and Lingering Garden are among “the most famous four gardens in China.”
Suzhou, which some have compared to “Heaven on Earth,” has a bountiful beauty and rich cultural heritage. The city has more than 2,500 years of rich history, culture and abundant historical sites. It is a popular weekend getaway for Shanghai residents.
