Shanghai Design Week 2020 has kicked off at Reel Mall. Now in its ninth edition, the annual design event showcases the latest global designs, products and technology.

With "UN’USUAL DESIGN" as its theme, this year’s design week expands into more public space, transportation hubs and other outdoor commercial areas, instead of its former venue at Shanghai Exhibition Center.

Due to the global pandemic, a combination of offline and online activities will last for three months this year, including an online design competition.

There will be a specially designed train on Metro Line 10 that showcases nearly 4,000 design artworks inside, as a moving exhibition where people can access the concept of design in daily life.
