The Yuhang District government in Hangzhou, of neighboring Zhejiang Province, released 10 special tour routes during a tourism event in Shanghai on Friday, ahead of the upcoming National Day holiday, in an attempt to lure Shanghai travelers.

The 10 routes invite tourists to explore the classic charm of Jiangnan (areas south of the Yangtze River), learn about early civilization in Liangzhu, take an eco tour of wetlands, visit water towns, get close to nature, taste Zen tea, experience the beautiful scenery of the countryside and pick seasonal fruits.

The trip involves the Dajingshan Mountain National Park which features verdant hills, green waters and typical Jiangnan residential houses with black tiles and white walls, the Tangxi Ancient Town and Liangzhu Museum, while the tour of rural parks will take tourists to the Shuangxi River, known for its drifting, the Shangougou tourist attraction and Huanghu Lake Town.

Other stops include the Liangzhu National Park, Liangzhu culture village, Xixi wetland, Chaoshan tourist attraction known for its plum blossoms, and the former residence of patriotic revolutionist Zhang Taiyan, just to list a few.

Sitting to the west of Hangzhou, Yuhang is home to 14 A-level scenic spots. It is gearing up construction of parking lots and toilets for tourist attractions, as well as smart tourist guide systems.
