China's trains often feature plain and uniform designs, but that's about to change.

A number of new models of Fuxing bullet trains have made their public debut at an exhibition in Beijing, China Railway Corp announced on Monday.

They are among the high-tech railway equipment designed and developed by China, now on display at the China National Railway Test Center.

One of them is the new CR200J model, affectionately nicknamed "The Hulk," with speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour, featuring different carriage configurations. The nine-carriage trains can carry 720 people, while long trains with 11 to 20 carriages can carry a maximum of 1,102 people. The trains will be put into operation next year.

The 209-meter CR300BF trains, with speeds of 250km/h, have eight carriages and can carry 613 passengers. Due to its color, the trains are nicknamed "Blue Nuannan." In Chinese, nuannan means a man who is considerate and caring. Taking advantage of low-energy consumption and cost-effective performance, the trains can meet the demand of various transportation services.

The 17-carriage CR400AF-B and CR400BF-B models, which are 439.8 meters long and capable of traveling at 350km/h, will be able to carry 1,283 passengers, improving the passenger capacity by 7.5 percent from the 16-carriage versions.

According to China Railway Corp, the 17-carriage trains will be put into use on the Beijing-Shanghai rail line from January 5 next year.

Chinese netizens were amazed at the new models, with one commenting, "Colorful and handsome!"
